Professor Carolina Janney lectured to her class on women in America from 1600-1870 on the role of women in the Civil War. During her illustrated lecture Professor Janney argued that women provided invaluable services to the soldiers while maintaining the home front.

Dr. Ira Rutkow talked about how medicine and surgery changed during the Civil War. He responded to questions from members of the audience. “The Civil War: How Did It Impact Medicine in America?” was a John K. Lattimer Lecture at the New York Academy of Medicine. There are graphic photographs shown during this program that some might find disturbing.

Imperialism II: Age of Exploration is a turn-based strategy computer game developed by Frog City Software and published by Strategic Simulations, Inc. SSI in 1999. It is the successor to the 1997 game Imperialism. In Imperialism II, the player starts as ruler of a 16th century European country, and must build an empire.Since 2001 Ubisoft owns the rights to the Imperialism trademark.[3]
