The portal German historical periodicals in Central and Eastern Europe.

The German-language publishing, printing and newspaper industry is also looking outside of the closed German language area – especially in Central and Eastern Europe – back to a centuries-old past. According to extensive are the relevant stocks in the many archives and libraries of the Greater Region.

The printed materials that reflect times past lifestyles. – Lifestyles, who shared in these mostly multi-ethnic German areas with their neighbors to the forced mass migrations in the aftermath of World War II.

The aim of the Digital Forum Central and Eastern Europe is that the decline of endangered and already partially opening up forgotten in stocks over the next few years, systematically, to secure digital and archiving, and using an online portal to the wider public, especially of science to make it accessible. At the same time, the portal received the character of an object-oriented platform, with opportunities for exchange, discussion and digital publication.
